Wives & Daughters

It was ladies' day for the angling club and several of the members took along their wives and daughters. While they were fishing, one of the wives asked the boatman:

"I'm always amazed at the way you fishermen can remember your exact fishing marks. How do you know this spot, for instance?"

"It's perfectly simple. From this side we always get that seagull on the water directly underneath that big white cloud. And on this side we get that little aeroplane directly above the crest of that big wave."
