What A Relief

The locals warned the city slicker:

"Don't put a net into this river. The inspector here, named Riley, hates nets. He'll blow off your head with his shotgun if he catches you at it."

The townie thought he knew better. Early next morning he began pulling in his net when a voice behind him boomed:

"Drop that net, put your hands up and don't move or I'll blow off your head."

The city man did as he was bid and asked:

"And who might you be?"

I'm Riley, the fisheries inspector."

"Well that's a relief," said the city slicker.

"I was afraid you might be the owner of the net."
