How Did You Do?

The manager of the Riverside Caravan Park always greeted the fishermen at the end of the day by asking:

"How did you do?"

Late one afternoon he saw a man's head appear and asked his usual question:
"How did you do?"

The response was quite angry. Then he saw that the man was carrying a rug and cushion, and had a pretty girl by his side. He wasn't even carrying a hand line.
